Terms of Service

Welcome to Holy Life. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Holy Life mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By downloading, accessing, or using Holy Life, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Holy Life is a digital spiritual companion designed to help users engage with the Bible, Scripture, prayer, devotional content, fasting guidance and planning, spiritual reflection, Bible explanations, personal journaling, AI-assisted faith and life conversations, Scripture audio, and related spiritual resources.

Holy Life is intended to support personal spiritual growth and reflection. It is not a replacement for a church, pastor, priest, counselor, therapist, doctor, lawyer, or other qualified professional.

You must be legally permitted to use the Service in your country or jurisdiction. If you are under the age of legal majority, you may use Holy Life only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

Certain features may require an account. You agree to:

• ●Keep your login credentials secure.
• ●Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
• ●Not impersonate another person.
• ●Not create an account using false or misleading information.
• ●Not share your account in a way that compromises its security.

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless the activity resulted from our failure to maintain reasonable security.

Holy Life may allow you to create or store:

• ●Fasting intentions and plans
• ●Devotional history
• ●Reading progress
• ●Scripture-memory information
• ●Conversations with the Holy Life AI companion

You retain ownership of the personal content you submit. You grant Holy Life a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, store, reproduce, and display your content only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Holy Life may use artificial intelligence to generate responses, reflections, explanations, prayers, devotional material, and other content. You understand that AI responses may contain errors or omissions and are not guaranteed to represent a complete or authoritative theological interpretation.

AI responses should not be treated as a substitute for qualified pastoral, medical, mental-health, legal, or emergency assistance. Holy Life does not claim that an AI-generated response is a direct message from God.

For urgent mental-health, medical, safety, abuse, or crisis situations, contact appropriate emergency services or a qualified professional in your location.

Holy Life may provide Bible text from public-domain, licensed, or otherwise authorized sources. Different Bible translations may be subject to different copyright and licensing requirements. You agree not to reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit copyrighted Bible translations or other protected content beyond what is permitted by law or the applicable license.

Holy Life may provide general fasting plans, reflections, prayers, and spiritual suggestions. Fasting guidance is for spiritual and informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.

Before beginning a fast, consult a qualified healthcare professional if you:

• ●Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• ●Have a medical condition.
• ●Take medication that requires food.
• ●Have a history of an eating disorder.
• ●Are under medical supervision.
• ●Are considering an extended or restrictive fast.

Do not use Holy Life to justify medically unsafe fasting practices.

You agree not to:

• ●Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
• ●Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
• ●Reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service except where permitted by law.
• ●Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful material.
• ●Abuse, harass, threaten, or exploit other people.
• ●Use the Service to distribute spam or deceptive content.
• ●Scrape or systematically extract Service content without permission.
• ●Circumvent security, usage limits, or access controls.
• ●Use AI-generated content to impersonate Holy Life or falsely represent official statements.

The Holy Life name, logo, interface, design, software, branding, original text, graphics, audio, and other Service materials are owned by or licensed to Holy Life App and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, including features, Bible translations, AI models, audio services, devotional content, fasting plans, account functionality, and third-party integrations. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

Holy Life is intended to provide its core spiritual features without advertisements, mandatory purchases, or required subscriptions. If optional offerings, donations, sponsorships, or other support features are introduced, they will be clearly identified. Any optional contribution does not purchase spiritual favor, guarantee a result, or create a religious obligation.

Holy Life may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, database infrastructure, AI processing, audio generation, error monitoring, analytics, notifications, and cloud storage. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms, create a security or legal risk, engage in abuse or fraud, are involved in unauthorized activity, or if we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Holy Life is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, that content will always be accurate or complete, that AI responses will be free from errors, or that the Service will meet every personal or spiritual expectation.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Holy Life App and its directors, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Holy Life App and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, violation of another person’s rights, or unlawful conduct.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be handled by the courts or dispute-resolution mechanisms with appropriate jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published through the Service or on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of Holy Life after an update means that you acknowledge the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
